- 1836 – Juraj Sina acquired the Trenčianske Teplice Spa.
- Wealthy banker and merchant – He was one of the richest men of the monarchy and around 1850 was a serious competitor of the Rothschild family. He also owned a banking house in Vienna.
- Properties – Together with the baths, he bought extensive land and residences in Dubnica, Brumov, Velehrad and also Trenčín Castle.
- Development of the spa – The spa was modernised and transformed into a major European spa centre, also thanks to the cooperation with Princess Pauline Metternich Sandor.
- Increased guest comfort – Introduced professional spa staff, clean linen in the changing rooms and quality service.
- New fee system – As an entrepreneur, he introduced a fee for bathing, which was previously free of charge.
- Building development – He had a separate building with baths built, modelled on the state-of-the-art bath house in Ischl, Austria.
- Year 1838 – Built a new mirror bath and a modern bath ward (today’s PI).
- Animal treatment – He set up a drainage channel through which the remaining warm water flowed into a pit by the stream – intended for sick horses.
- Death – Juraj Sina died in 1856, his son Šimon Sina inherited the spa from him.
