There are almost 800 trees here , including old, original specimens, as well as new plantings. The spa has had a professional inventory and assessment of the health of the trees carried out to ensure regular monitoring of their condition.
Based on these expert assessments, necessary interventions are carried out throughout the year – such as pruning, tying branches, checking internal cavities using special technologies, or making proposals for the felling of dangerous trees. The aim is to prevent unexpected tree falls and maintain the safety of visitors.
However, climate change and deteriorating environmental conditions increase the demands on park care every year. Some tree species cannot cope with the new conditions, are susceptible to diseases and pests, and gradually die.
In addition to the inventory, a project for the comprehensive revitalization of the park was also prepared. This includes planned fellings, as well as replacement planting of new trees. All modifications are being carried out in accordance with the project approved by the Regional Monuments Authority, as the park is a protected monument.
The timeline for the revitalization is not yet known, as its implementation depends on obtaining external financing. The costs of the project exceed the financial capabilities of the Spa as the owner of the park.
