Peat wrap
Peat is a natural product that has been formed in the earth’s environment for thousands of years. It contains a large amount of nutrients and natural trace elements, a significant component is organic substances. By applying a peat compress to the body and using heat, these substances are absorbed into the upper layer of the skin, affect the renewal of skin cells, improve blood circulation and the function of muscles and joints. They have an antibacterial effect and strengthen immunity.
It is recommended to use them for muscle overload, for overall muscle relaxation and relaxation, and they are also effective for metabolic disorders and musculoskeletal disorders.
Their use is not recommended during pregnancy, hypersensitivity to heat and fever, swelling and open skin wounds, after strokes and after oncological surgeries!
Application
To apply a peat compress, you need a disposable peat compress bag, a heat carrier (e.g. gel, peat, herbal, hot water bottle), a blanket, and a towel.
Heat the heat carrier in the microwave for about 5-10 minutes or in water at a temperature of 55-60 °C for about 5-7 minutes. Place the disposable peat compress bag with the impermeable side on the heat carrier and let it preheat for about 3 minutes. Then place the bag with the permeable side on the body and place the heated heat carrier on it. Cover with a blanket. Leave to act for 20-30 minutes. After finishing the application, wipe the area with a damp towel.
You can also use the disposable peat bag separately without a heat carrier by heating it in a hot air oven to approximately 43-45°C, placing the permeable side on the body and covering it. However, the duration of the thermal effect will be shorter than when using a heat carrier. The shelf life of the product is stated on the packaging. After opening the protective plastic packaging, use the disposable peat bag within 5 days. When handling, keep the bag in a horizontal position, do not squeeze or bend it. Dispose of used disposable peat bags according to waste regulations. You can use the peat content as a mixture for flowers or in compost. Keep the heat carrier for further use.
