General contraindications to spa treatment

  • infectious diseases transmissible to humans and bacilli carriage, all fresh inflammatory diseases
  • clinical signs of circulatory failure (heart and circulatory insufficiency)
  • conditions after deep vein thrombosis within three months after the onset of the disease, conditions after phlebitis within six weeks after the onset of the disease
  • unstable diabetes, insufficiently compensated
  • frequently recurring bleeding of any kind
  • malignant tumors during and after treatment with clinically detected signs of disease progression
  • epilepsy, except in cases where no seizures have occurred in the last three years
  • mental disorders and dementia with reduced communication skills
  • alcohol addiction, substance addiction
  • urinary and fecal incontinence
  • pregnancy
  • non-healing skin defects of any origin
  • hypertension above 16 kPa diastolic pressure (120 mm Hg)
  • client’s inability to travel to spa treatments (patients in wheelchairs)
