General contraindications to spa treatment
- infectious diseases transmissible to humans and bacilli carriage, all fresh inflammatory diseases
- clinical signs of circulatory failure (heart and circulatory insufficiency)
- conditions after deep vein thrombosis within three months after the onset of the disease, conditions after phlebitis within six weeks after the onset of the disease
- unstable diabetes, insufficiently compensated
- frequently recurring bleeding of any kind
- malignant tumors during and after treatment with clinically detected signs of disease progression
- epilepsy, except in cases where no seizures have occurred in the last three years
- mental disorders and dementia with reduced communication skills
- alcohol addiction, substance addiction
- urinary and fecal incontinence
- pregnancy
- non-healing skin defects of any origin
- hypertension above 16 kPa diastolic pressure (120 mm Hg)
- client’s inability to travel to spa treatments (patients in wheelchairs)
