Spa treatment approved by the health insurance company can also be completed on an outpatient basis, i.e. without accommodation in accommodation facilities and without the provision of meals. This form of treatment must be indicated when writing the proposal.
For each day of outpatient spa treatment, a fee of €5/day is paid in addition to the services covered by health insurance.
A proposal for spa treatment is written by a general practitioner for adults or a specialist. The insured person delivers the written proposal for spa treatment to the health insurance company branch. It is necessary to ask the health insurance company about specific spas when submitting the proposal – it applies to IS A.
Before entering the spa, your current health condition must be confirmed by a general practitioner. The confirmation must not be older than 14 days.
The duration of the spa treatment is stated in the decision approving the treatment and cannot be changed.
